Just Say No
Bleak swales of dispirited grain
That end up on serving tables
laden with enemies
Who hiccup and belch
and squelch
thoughtful ideas.
Bleary vales of disillusioned gain
That end up on debating tables
riven with strife
Where to queer the deal
is to claim victory
no matter who loses.
