‘Tender Mercies’

Cover‘Tender Mercies’ is my first collection of poetry.  As they were being written, they said they belonged together.  Time and some distance convinced me the poems were right.

This is a small collection, more of a chapbook actually, of poems written in a fevered creative rush.  Many came from prompts provided by the sadly missed ReadWritePoem and also from Three Word Wednesday.

Yet, they all are connected.  It is an accurate snapshot of where I was at the time these were written.

Clicking on the cover will take you to my CreateSpace storefront where you can order a copy.   Or, if you’d rather, you can order from Amazon.com or Amazon.ca

Or, you can click the image at right and buy the eReader version for the Kindle.  Either way, Thank you!

What others are saying about ‘Tender Mercies’

“the best verse is often like another person’s dreams that you welcome hearing.  Here are dreams I welcomed the more, the more I read.  Surreally haphazard without ever seeming simply random; edgy, dark, but never glum and never descending to unkindness; salted with unexpected humor (a quick sharp Ha! of recognition); and moments when I said I wished I’d said that.  Like this collection, the best verse is often a case of I-can’t-explain-it-but-I-know-it-when-I-see-it.” Van Reid, author of the Moosepath League series and the American Zig-Zag
